The 'Method for Improvisation and Performance', is addressed to actors, dancers, students of performing arts, but also to anyone who loves performing arts and has a little experience in movement and speech.

Acquaintance with the method is made by taking part in the introductory seminar, lasting 6 hours and conducted in two three-hour sessions. Then the study on the 'Method' is 180 hours long and is divided into two cycles. At the end of each cycle the performer presents their work to an audience. After completing the two cycles of study, the performer - if he/she wishes - can continue in the 'Atelier' and produce the work he/she wishes, as a solo, duet, trio, or quartet. The 'Atelier' provides the knowledge and tools needed to create a performance.

A few words about the method:

'I feel fortunate to have worked for years on a fairly wide range of artistic events. Along the way I discovered that neither the audience nor myself possess telepathic abilities. The finest performances, the finest performers touch the audience and communicate clearly and successfully the story they are negotiating. This presupposes a truth and applies to any art form or vision of a director, conductor, choreographer.

Ultimately there is only one intention, to be connected as performers to our 'inside', to be 'present', genuine and authentic.

This is the main aim of the 'Method', to explore the ways in which a performer can embody his intention while expanding his options. Authenticity, energy and wholeness within personal embodiment are given special weight and worked with kinetically.

Specifically, we explore our bodies in relation to:

  • the emotion it produces

  • the dramatic intention

  • the other performers

  • our imagination

  • our relationship with the audience'.
