A KIN company
A KIN started as a contemporary dance company in 1997 in Athens and evolved by combining all forms of performing arts in its artistic work.
The artistic direction of A KIN belongs to Marina Mavrogeni.
The first members of the group were:
Vasso Yianakopoulou, Eleni Korelli, Marina Mavrogeni, Katerina Panussopoulou, Katerina Pappa.
The team is based in Greece, in the city of Athens. It uses the body as a basic code of communication and joins forces each time with different forms of art in order to realize whatever it thinks or contemplate, without negotiating it.

Since 1997, A KIN has presented works in a number of art venues in Greece and abroad. The group's works have been hosted in Greek and Balkan Dance Platforms, while it has been commissioned to create special performances for specific venues and events (Opening Ceremony of the 26th, 27th and 28th Athens Marathon, Opening Ceremony of the European Rowing Championships).
In 2015 the team created the art space AKIN Art in the center of Athens.
A space that hosts artists who love deconstruction, subversion and artistic anarchy.
Important people have passed through A Kin, as founding members, as artistic contributors, as performers.
I'm glad that at some point we met and walked together.
